We welcome college juniors from all science disciplines with an interest in the ocean to apply. The 14-week Sea Change Semester runs during the fall semester, from early September to mid-December. Students earn 16 credits for the program, which can be transferred from Colby College.

Program Fees

The program fee covers tuition, room, and a food allowance. It is equivalent to the comprehensive fees for Colby College, and merit-based financial aid is available to ensure that the semester does not cost more than the equivalent classes at your home college.

Financial aid, like student acceptance into the program, is decided on a rolling basis. Please apply as soon as possible to ensure its availability.

Eligibility

We welcome college juniors from all science disciplines with an interest in the ocean to apply. Applicants should have a 3.0+ GPA, completed three lab science courses, and have completed a semester each of chemistry, biology, and precalculus/calculus.
