Research Interests

I am a geomicrobiologist primarily interested in microbial activities occurring in subsurface environments. I want to explore how microbes adapt to their environment, how they in turn influence their ecosystem, and how they impact geochemical cycles. My primary research interests are aimed at linking genomic data with measurements of microbial metabolism in the marine subsurface, which will allow for a better understanding of environmental processes occurring in the deep biosphere.
