Chris Byrd was cofounder, CEO, and president of Evolution1 (now WEX Health) and now serves as Executive Vice President of Healthcare Operations at WEX. He oversees the daily execution of WEX Health’s business and leads the company’s operations and service delivery, corporate development, merger and acquisition activity, and legal, industry, and government relations efforts. Chris, who serves on numerous industry boards, is a frequent speaker on emerging trends in financial services and benefits and is active in industry and government relations. Chris is a trustee of Riverfront Recapture and former trustee of The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts. His business affiliations include Vice Chair of Employers Council on Flexible Compensation, trustee of HSA Council, SIGIS Corp., Employee Benefit Research Institution, and Council for Affordable Health Coverage. He is a Brown University Alumni (’80). Chris and his wife, Kim, live in West Hartford, CT and spend their summers in Boothbay Harbor.
